Manmin Central Church was founded in 1982 with 13 members, and under the motto "Arise, Shine" its congregation that mirrors early churches as its servants and membershave been one in faith and love and dedicated to national evangelization, world mission, and regional development. It has 9,000 branch churches throughout the globe and has commissioned 103 missionaries to 22 countries to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.

Every evening at 9 o'clock is an interdenominational prayer gathering called "The Daniel Prayer Meeting." As it was the case with early churches, constantly manifested at Manmin Central Church are signs and wonders that testify to God's presence. Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee's powerful ministryat the 2000 Uganda Crusade was featured on Cable News Network and many amazing works of God's power manifested at overseas crusades have been broadcast to the world including Russia, India, Australia and the United States.

In 2004, World Christian Doctors Network was organized by Manmin Joong-ang Church to confirm the healing cases performed by the power of God with medically clarified data so that it may magnify the glory of God. About Lee-Jaerock 
He was born in Muan, Jeonnam Province, Republic of Korea, in 1943. In his twenties, Rev. Dr. Lee had suffered from a variety of incurable diseases for seven years and awaited death with no hope for recovery. One day in the spring of 1974, however, he was led to a church by his sister and when he knelt down to pray, the living God immediately healed him of all his diseases.
 

From the moment Rev. Dr. Lee met the living God through that wonderful experience, he has loved God with all his heart and sincerity, and in 1978 was called to be a servant of God. He prayed fervently so that he could clearly understand the will of God and wholly accomplish it, and obeyed all the Word of God. In 1982, he founded Manmin Joong-ang Church in Seoul, S. Korea, and countless works of God, including miraculous healings and wonders, have been taking place at his church. In 1986, Rev. Dr. Lee was ordained as a pastor at the Annual Assembly of Jesus' Sungkyul Church of Korea, and four years later in 1990, his sermons began to be broadcast on the Far East Broadcasting Company, the Asia Broadcast Station, and the Washington Christian Radio System to Australia, Russia, the Philippines, and many more. Three years later in 1993, Manmin Central Church was selected as one of the "World's Top 50 Churches" by the Christian World magazine (US) and he received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Christian Faith College, Florida, USA, and in 1996 a Ph. D. in Ministry from Kingsway Theological Seminary, Iowa, USA.

Since 1993, Rev. Dr. Lee has taken the lead in world mission through many overseas crusades in the USA, Tanzania, Argentina, Uganda, Japan, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines, Honduras, India, Russia, Germany, Peru and DR Congo, and in 2002 he was called a "worldwide pastor" by major Christian newspapers in Korea for his work in various overseas crusades. As of December 2010, Manmin Central Church is a congregation of more than 120,000 members and 9,000 domestic and overseas branch churches throughout the globe, and has so far commissioned more than 81 missionaries to 21 countries, including the United States, Russia, Germany, Canada, Japan, China, France, India, Kenya, and many more. To this day, Rev. Dr. Lee has written 60 books, including bestsellers Tasting Eternal Life before Death, The Message of the Cross, The Measure of Faith, Heaven I & II, Hell, and The Power of God, and his works have been translated into more than 17 languages. Rev. Dr. Lee is currently founder and president of a number of missionary organizations and associations, including Chairman, The United Holiness Church of Korea; President, The Nation Evangelization Paper; President, Manmin World Mission; Founder, Manmin TV; Founder & Board Chairman, Global Christian Network (GCN); Founder & President, The World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN); and Founder & Chairman, Manmin International Seminary (MIS).
